Tanaesja Milligan wins 2021 USA Boxing National Championship

Sweet Science Boxing Clubs own Tanaesja Milligan’s competed in her first USA Boxing National Championship held in Shreveport, Louisiana December 5-11 2021.

Tanaesja competed in the USA Boxing Elite Female division at 165lb/75kg. Having fought two tough opponents over a three day period with back to back bouts. Tanaesja compiled a record of 2-0 without losing a single round the entire tournament. Tanaesja wins her first USA Boxing Elite Female National Championship For 2021. Tanaesja will now join Team USA and will have the opportunity to attend training camps at the United States Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. Tanaesja has qualified to compete for a spot on Team USA for international competitions in 2021 and an potential 2024 Olympic bid.

”T” as she is known by is originally from Harlem, New York but now calls the great state of Georgia Home. She has been a member of Sweet Science Boxing Club For 3 years training with coach Marty P. Hill. Tanaesja is very instrumental in assisting and coaching Sweet Science Boxing Clubs kids boxing program as well as assisting the professional athletes and fitness clients in obtaining their goals!

Tanaesja is a licensed professional

occupatIonal therapist holding a BS and Masters from Utica College in New York. She has her own business working directly with schools and out patient facilities assisting kids and young adults with their therapeutic needs.

USA boxing is the national governing boxing for Olympic level amateur boxing in the U.S. The national championships which are held yearLt crown national champions ranging from pee-wee to the elite age classes. The Elite division is USA boxing premier division of athletes ranging 18-40 years of age competing to become members of Team USA. The Elite level athletes create the pool of athletes that are chosen to become part of the United States Olympic Boxing Team.
